Being a big fan of the Olympic and International style of play (no fighting!) I love the idea of this! I'd love to see the Euro champs v the Stanley Cup champs.

You don't like fighting? Or you understand it's a part of the game. It is what it is, but you just don't like it? Just curious. I'm suprised a Hockey fan like yourself would feel that way.

I guess the Euro champ and an NHL team matchup would be intiguing. I just don't see the logistics of it all working out. I see it being a much, much bigger deal overseas than it would be for North America. I think it would be interesting, but I would hate to lose a player to injury for a meaningless game. We'll see next year how it turns out.

I'm not a fan of the fighting. I don't think it's necessary. It's only part of the game in the NHL because it's tolerated. It's not part of the game anywhere else, at any level because it's not tolerated. That said, I've been watching east coast hockey all my life so I love a good clean hit as much as the next guy. I just think punching a guy in the face as a response is barbaric.

I think they'd have to hold the series during the summer or during training camp. I'm not nuts about the EUR champs v. some random NHL team, that's a bit of a bore. But EUR camps v NHL champs would be fun, worldwide bragging rights. see how the different styles of play match up.
